THE WORLD’S FIRST OF ITS KIND INDEPENDENT GLOBAL MUSIC INDUSTRY TRADE PUBLICATION – ONE MOVEMENT FM
The global music community is about to become a lot smaller this week with the launch of the first of its kind, international, music industry trade publication. One Movement For Music Magazine (One Movement FM) will bring together all aspects that are essential to the fundamentals and future of the new global music community. The new publication will be supported by the extensive global network of A&R Worldwide which has secured well-respected contributors from major sectors of the music and media industry.
A&R Worldwide Founder & President Sat Bisla states, “Over the past 30 years my mission has always been to act local and think global. It is with this mantra and with the proven track record of A&R Worldwide, its unprecedented international relationships and relentless passion for all things music, that this new launch is possible. I am extremely proud of my exceptional team and our colleagues and friends who are actually creating, molding and navigating this business, not just covering it, for joining us in support of the launch of One Movement FM!”
“I firmly believe that the world of music needs a central hub that can provide news, information, insight, imagination, passion and tangible creative and commercial opportunities. For the past year my team and our trusted friends and colleagues from around the globe have been building the foundation of the world’s first international, music industry trade publication community. The new platform will evolve and adapt on a regular basis and we look forward to sharing it with the international music community. Everyone involved with the launch of this new independent community have considerable insight, knowledge, experience and relationships that pertain to understanding today’s and tomorrow’s global music business,” added Bisla.
With the worldwide music business being very fragmented, key information and opportunities are often overlooked; therefore, the new forum will seek to be the voice for creative and commercial interests where the artist, industry and fan are united as One. The global music industry trade publication will be distributed to the world on Wednesday, September 19th 2012.
The platform will be one step closer to creating a healthier, more inspirational and sustainable global music community!

A&R WORLDWIDE’S "ARTIST OF THE WEEK" – SHEPPARD
A true family affair, siblings and band members George, Amy and Emma Sheppard started performing together at a young age. Joining forces with songwriter/guitarist Jay Bovino, guitarist Michael Butler and drummer Jared Tredly, the sextet is simply known as Sheppard. The Brisbane, Queensland (Australia) pop outfit has had quite the busy last few months, which included a world tour performing in South Africa, the UK, the U.S. and most recently their sold-out showcase at Bigsound in Brisbane. They released their five-song, self-titled EP last month with the lead track, “Let Me Down Easy,” receiving a lot of international attention by way of blogs, Television appearances and radio outlets. The melodic tune may have been born in Australia but contains hints of Hawaiian music with the potential to crossover to a variety of formats. Influential commercial Alternative Radio Station KNRK “94/7 FM” Portland has just confirmed they’ll be spinning the song on their New Music Heaven segment starting next Monday, which means 4 prime-time plays a day for a week. With the recent successes of alternative music based acts Gotye, The Temper Trap, San Cisco and many others from Australia – don’t be surprised if there is a flurry of A&R, publisher, music supervisor and agent interest in Sheppard. The band is currently available for signing, licensing, publishing, sync and booking; they are managed in partnership with Michael Chugg. For additional details, log on to www.wearesheppard.com. A&R WORLDWIDE’S "VIDEO OF THE WEEK" – TAILOR
There is something in the water in South Africa; the amount of talented musicians there is at an all-time high. The musical landscape includes a variety of sounds and genres. The local radio playlists include KONGOS, Zebra & Giraffe, Lonehill Estate, Newton's 2nd Law, Goodluck, iScream & the Chocolate Stix, Captain Stu, Shadowclub, Pascal & Pearce and the newest talent, Johannesburg’s Tailor. We featured Tailor in the A&R Worldwide newsletter earlier this year and she’s since recorded a brand new album. Although she's technically not new, having success while in the short-lived band Mel-funktion, this is Tailor’s first attempt at a solo career. So far the result has been nothing short of amazing. She wrote half of her debut album in one day and when she went to record the initial demos, to her surprise, she finished the session with twice as much material and a newfound understanding of what inspires her songs. The album was recorded in just two and a half weeks and mastered at Sterling Sound in the U.S. by Grammy Award-winner Ted Jensen (Coldplay, Florence + The Machine, Muse). The Dark Horse has already seen support from the tracks “Wolf” and “Step Back” and now Tailor offers the video to her latest single, “Indian.” The track has hints of Kate Bush and PJ Harvey and gets better with every listen. View the brand new clip here and reach out to Karl Anderson of Just Music for available signing, publishing, booking and sync opportunities with Tailor at karl@justmusic.co.za.
