In making the appointments, Mike Caren said, “A&R is an increasingly global undertaking, as extraordinary music can come from any part of the world, at any time. By expanding our worldwide A&R team, we grow our ability to respond swiftly to artist development opportunities and reinforce WMG’s company-wide commitment to providing the best home for the most influential and popular talent.”
He added, “Aton’s wide-ranging experience as a producer, artist manager and entrepreneur will make him a superb addition to the industry’s leading network of A&R executives. Latoya Lee said, “It’s a pleasure to work alongside Mike Caren and the amazing team at Warner Music Group. I am passionate about music, determined to support artists in achieving their goals and I’m ready for the challenges and opportunities ahead.”

ROAR GROUP APPOINTS NEW HEAD OF MUSIC
Professor Jonathan Shalit, Chairman, ROAR Group, tells A&R Worldwide that he has appointed Archie Lamb as ROAR’s first Head of Music.
Shalit tells us that seven years ago, aged just 17, Archie Lamb formed Takeover Entertainment with his then partner Jack Foster as an independent record label. Takeover Entertainment sold over 2.5 million CDs in three years. To date, Archie has been involved in 20 Top 40 singles.
In a joint venture with Island, Archie signed Tinchy Stryder as Takeover’s first artist with whom they had two No. 1 singles and Tinchy’s debut album sold over 250,000 copies. In tandem Takeover established a massively successful multi million pound clothing range called “Star In the Hood.” Archie then created exciting joint ventures with Jay Z’s Roc Nation, EMI publishing and JD Sports.
Archie will focus on expanding ROAR’s roster of new music acts for who he will be able to offer a much bigger platform of support than most other UK music management companies through ROAR’s lateral entertainment media company.
ROAR Music operates within the ROAR Global Group and has sold over 12 million CDs in the last 10 years with their acts winning 14 MOBO Awards.
ROAR Music currently represents N-Dubz, Tulisa and Alexandra Burke. ROAR Music discovered Charlotte Church with whom they sold over 4 million units in America and have executive produced recordings with Elton John, Sting, Cher and Bon Jovi.
The ROAR Group represents Gold Medal Olympians, TV presenters, actors and the winners of “Britain’s Got Talent.” ROAR is the UK’s largest independent talent and IP management company with clients including stars of "Eastenders" and "Coronation Street," Lorraine Kelly, Mark Wright, Myleene Klass and Kelly Brook.
Archie Lamb stated, “I’m delighted to be joining ROAR at such an exciting time in its growth across all areas of the entertainment business. I am hugely excited by Jonathan’s vision for ROAR as the UK's leading independent talent agency. ROAR's broad portfolio of clients and its widespread influence offers me a real chance to develop a much wider portfolio of professional relationships.”
Jonathan Shalit added, “A core part of ROAR's growth strategy is the recruitment of the best and most exciting young executives. Anyone who knows Archie Lamb and his already impressive CV will know that he definitely falls into that category.”

She now resides in an artistic community of fellow singer/songwriters and performs regularly in both Los Angeles and Manhattan. Stylistically, she’s drawn comparisons to such talents as Dido, Sia, Lissie and Norah Jones. The first single off her Uncovered album is her take on Sheryl Crow’s 1995 tune, “Perfect Lie,” a perfect showcase for Jodee’s smoky tones and impassioned vocal abilities. WE MET TOMORROW: (www.talentcoach.se/we-met-tomorrow): With their unusual three-piece lineup featuring double guitars, bass drum, bass guitar and a crash cymbal, We Met Tomorrow will score high on originality and uniqueness. While they might sound like a band that’s very dark with cynical members, that’s not the case. It’s just the result of three young, quirky, ironic, serious, funny, melancholic, spirited and hungry musicians coming together and creating what they love most in this world: music. Tom Callahan (Shania Twain) and Krish Sharma (The Rolling Stones) fell in love with We Met Tomorrow in the summer of 2012, and as a result, recorded the band a few months later. According to Kieron Tyler of MOJO Magazine, “Thee Attacks are a mod-looking four-piece from Aalborg in north Denmark. Soulful vocals complement a '65-era Townshend guitarist, who whacks out Have Love, Will Travel-style riff after riff. So good, they'll easily move beyond the garage and could crossover to become a successor to The Hives. Primitivist über-producer Liam Watson is here and smiling along.” Performing Tuesday, May 7th at 9:00pm on Stage 1 at S.I.R. Studios Hollywood.

A&R WORLDWIDE’S "ARTIST OF THE WEEK" – JEREMY LOOPS
Equipped with multiple instruments, a loop station, pedals, a capacity to sing and a beat-box, “one-man-band” Jeremy Loops creates textured tracks that transform convention and align the fresh with the familiar. His performances center around crowd participation and collaborations with other skilled musicians, most frequently the lyricist Motheo Moleko, as well as Jamie Faull on the sax, which brings a completely unique and positive sound to new school world folk music. Jeremy has been hugely successful of late, playing on the main stage at Oppikoppi, one of the biggest festivals south of the equator, to a crowd of 22,000 people. A&R Worldwide saw Jeremy Loops in South Africa last year courtesy of Sheer Music’s Damon Forbes and noted that Jeremy Loops has the global potential like Mumford & Sons, Gotye and fellow South African Dave Matthews. Jeremy’s first ever show outside of South Africa will be at MUSEXPO LA this year and flocks of agents, publishers, labels and music supervisors are sure to swarm all over this hidden musical gem. The critics have been quick to take notice too: Mahala online, South Africa’s arbiter of cool, said about Jeremy Loops, “Then, out of nowhere this hipster kid with a feather in his hat came out and blew the (expletive) roof off the place. By far the standout act of the festival, Jeremy Loops brought something fresh to the table. Very cool loops layered over each other, a good grasp of a range of instruments, loads of energy, loads of funk. The crowd went completely nuts.” Experience the talents of Jeremy Loops in his single, “Power” and contact Misha Teasdale email@example.com for worldwide signing, publishing, booking, licensing and synch opportunities. A&R WORLDWIDE’S "VIDEO OF THE WEEK" – MOTO BOY
Oskar Humlebo, aka Moto Boy, began his love affair with music at the age of eight during a boy’s choir rehearsal in a London cathedral. He spent his teen years exploring jazz and experimental music, with the result that the Malmo-based artist’s influences range from Tchaikovsky and Angelo Badalamenti to Scott Walker and Siouxsie Sioux…but most of all he is inspired by great movies. Moto Boy makes lush, romantic pop songs. With emotive pop and impressive operatic vocals, the result is hair-raising music that evokes feelings parallel to that of a Jeff Buckley song or a David Lynch movie. His latest album Lost in the Call was romantic, melancholic yet quite evocative, filled with strings and a choir. Currently, Moto Boy is working on his third studio album, which will be released in fall 2013. The performance video for “The Heart Is A Rebel” is a perfect example of how incredible Moto Boy is live and is sure to appeal to music supervisors and fans of Sigur Ros, Röyksopp, Peter Bjorn & John and other cool Nordic alt-pop. Moto Boy is available for signing, booking and synch opportunities, and will be performing in Los Angeles early May. For more information contact Gisela Sotomayor at firstname.lastname@example.org.
