Forest Blakk

Forest Blakk

Forest Blakk is a very talented singer-songwriter that brings a song to life with color, feeling and an undeniable connection. The Canadian musician describes his sound as urban folk, mixing the tranquility and peace of folk music, with the chaos and pulse of the city.

His debut EP Minutes spawned the single "Love Me," which was added to Shazam's New Music Friday playlist on Apple Music, while accumulating over 1 million plays on Spotify. The track was also chosen as the Amazon Weekly One and was the No.14 song overall in Prime Music. "Love Me" was included on Amazon's Best of 2017 playlist and earned airplay on Sirius XM stations The Pulse and Train Tracks, while reaching No.1 on the Hype Machine Twitter Music Chart. "Love Me" along with the single "Where I First Found You" has helped Forest Blakk accumulate over 10 million streams worldwide.

In the summer of 2020, he released the sophomore EP, Sideways, where he collaborated with the likes of Will IDAP (Train, Florida Georgia Line), Nick Long (King Princess), Carl Ryden (Ricky Martin, David Guetta), Ollie Green (Freya Ridings, Gavin James) and more to tell a love story through an incredibly realistic and candid lens. The six-track collection includes previously released singles "I Wish I Knew" (deemed an "introspective look at love and love lost" by American Songwriter) and Blakk's uplifting anthem of resilience "Put Your Hands Up," which debuted in 2019 on an episode of ABC's Grey's Anatomy.

Blakk has toured extensively supporting NEEDTOBREATHE, Gavin James and more. He is also set to re-join The Goo Goo Dolls alongside Lifehouse for their "Miracle Pill Summer 2020 Tour," following the proactive rescheduling of shows due to COVID-19.

in 2021, his single "If You Love Her" featuring Meghan Trainor reached Gold status from the RIAA and he released the single "Fall Into Me," which he co-wrote with multiple Grammy Award winner Rob Thomas of Matchbox Twenty and Grammy Award nominated singer-songwriter Gregg Wattenberg (John Legend, Goo Goo Dolls, Daughtry)
