Ori Alboher, is a multi-instrumentalist creator that has been making music from his home studio under the moniker ORI since 2012. Inspired by a variety of genres including R&B, Pop, Ambient and Soul, ORI shares his music with a soft voice, manipulated vocals, loops and beats which build up melodic, rhythmic and repetitive structures that pull the listener into the music, while forming moods oscillating between intimacy and distant depths.
ORI's single "Solo" was sampled by Jay Rock, the first signing of the Los Angeles-based management company and label Top Dawg Entertainment (Kendrick Lamar, ScHoolboy Q, SZA), which serves as the chorus to the single "Redemption." Kendrick Lamar, who curated the album along with 2x GRAMMY Award winner/producer Sounwave, picked the sample. The song is taken from ORI's 1986 album, which also includes "Black Book," which was featured on the USA Network Television show Shooter.
ORI was recently picked as one of 100 acts to see at SXSW by NPR, followed by a successful and breathtaking showcase at MUSEXPO Los Angeles. These days, ORI is performing around Europe and Israel as he is finishing up his forthcoming third album due in late 2019.
