A&R WORLDWIDE’S "VIDEO OF THE WEEK"– SHOBSY
Dublin’s rising star Shobsy impresses with his latest genre-blending single “Driven.” Known for his soaring falsetto and a knack for fusing together contemporary and classic soundscapes to produce modern takes on 80s pop, Shobsy refuses to tread lightly in any of his releases, and “Driven” is the latest shot of adrenaline to add to his already-eclectic discography. The former lead vocalist in the acclaimed rock band State Lights, Shobsy delivers “Driven,” a song inspired by the feeling of being toyed with by someone you have fallen in love with; it captures the mood of the crossover, where sexual tension meets true commitment. Last month, Shobsy performed on Ireland’s biggest television show, The Late Late Show, where he produced a mesmerizing performance of Bronksi Beat’s “Smalltown Boy,” which racked up over 100,000 views within 24 hours. He’s earned praise and support from Earmilk, ROTD, Pop Matters, Today FM and HotPress who described Shosby with ‘Powerhouse vocals that rival the enchanting beauty of Freddie Mercury & George Michael.’ Enjoy the visual for “Driven” HERE, and contact Dave Reid at dave@broadcastmanagement.net, for available opportunities with Shobsy.
