S10 ENTERTAINMENT ANNOUNCES NEW HIRES
AND EXECUTIVE PROMOTIONS ![]()
Brandon Silverstein, Founder, S10 Entertainment has unveiled a number of new hires and promotions at his multifaceted music and media firm. Silverstein who manages renowned international acts Normani and Anitta recently announced that he had inked a new film and television partnership for his S10 Films division with Simon Fuller, Founder, XIX Entertainment, and brainchild of the global Idol music TV show franchise.

In addition, S10 has promoted Justin Hunter who has been with the company since 2019 and worked across a number of verticals at the company. His new role will see him overseeing the bridge between key company divisions whilst helping optimize and streamline communication channels at the firm. Also, the company has elevated its executive Miranda McEvoy who joined S10 back in 2021. Prior to joining S10, McEvoy worked with Evan Spiegel, Co-Founder & CEO, Snap, as well as with the Marc Geiger, former Global Head of Music, WME. She will expand her oversight with the day-to-day operations at the company’s burgeoning multi-sector of activities. Jessica Roxana, Director Artist Management, S10 spearhead the management of the company’s client Anitta with Silverstein. Prior to joining S10, Roxana had daily management oversight of artists including Diplo, Major Lazer, Silk City and others whilst working at TMWRK Management, and also oversaw back-end and administrative work for Diplo’s record label – Mad Decent. All four executives will all report to Brandon Silverstein and will work out of the company’s Los Angeles-based headquarters.

Universal Music Greater China (UMGC), a division of Universal Music Group (UMG), has announced that Carol Ding has been appointed to the newly created position of Sr. Vice President & Head of Digital and Commercial at UMGC, effective immediately. Ding will be based in Beijing and will report to Sunny Chang, Chairman & CEO UMGC, and Ulrik Cahn, Executive Vice President, Africa Middle East Asia (AMEA).

A veteran UMG executive in the APAC region, Ms. Ding possesses significant experience within China’s fast-evolving entertainment industry landscape. As a member of UMGC’s senior management team, she will oversee digital and commercial business development and operation in the regional markets, work closely with frontline labels and territories to further expand digital partners’ network while continuing to explore commercial opportunities for UMG’s roster of artists and vast music catalog across Greater China, and beyond. Ding joined UMG from Condé Nast International, where she led strategic partnership, investment, and acquisitions for China businesses’ transformation from print to digital. Before Condé Nast, Ding oversaw the distribution and marketing of Warner Bros’ 20+ film releases in China, including China’s 1st digital 3D film Journey to the Center of the Earth in 2008. Over the past 12 months, UMGC became the first major music company to establish multiple frontline labels across China with the launch of Republic Records China, Capitol Records China, EMI China and Polygram China to accelerate A&R investment and development of domestic Chinese talent, with a view to achieve both regional successes, alongside creating new opportunities for artists to reach new global markets beyond Great China.
INDIA’S FANTIGER RAISES OVER FIVE MILLION DOLLARS FOR NFT’S

The yet-to-be officially launched India-based ArtistFirst Technology Inc., company which oversees the music NFT marketplace FanTiger, recently announced that it had raised $5.5 million (USD) in a seed round which is led by Multicoin Capital.

The FanTiger platform allows its users to buy music NFTs and gain access to earn rewards and privileges such as backstage access, exclusive content and meet and greet opportunities, as well as access to exclusive communities. The company says that artists can use proceeds from the sale of music NFTs on song production and video, song creation, and also share a percentage of the royalty from songs to its fan communities for marketing the song. Prashan Agarwal, CEO & Co-Founder said, “The business of music should be to serve the best interests of Artists.With the advent of blockchain, music NFTs have the ability to disrupt the music industry, much like music streaming transformed music listening. FanTiger is at the forefront of this revolution to redefine the music industry by creating Artist-Fan relationships as has never existed before to give birth to a new era for Music. Our vision is to onboard 10 million users to our platform to own digital collectibles and supercharge the career of 100k artists.” FanTiger’s recent round saw investment participation from Woodstock, GAMA, Pravega, Krafton, Gokul Rajaram, Prashant Malik, Miten Sampat, Polygon Studios and its co-Founder Sandeep Nailwal. The company has opened an early access program prior to its forthcoming official launch.

With 2019s debut EP Girl I Know, Baker Grace emerged as an artist with undeniable confidence. She stretches the boundaries of pop music and with each release shows a new level of musicianship and introspection, while maintaining her integrity and singularity. The 22-year-old singer-songwriter from New Jersey is working to create her own charming reality aside from the masses. Her sophomore EP Yourz Truly illuminated her inner world and personal philosophies more freely than ever, sharing her story with equal parts boldness and dreamy sensitivity. That EP was followed by a collaboration with rising star Cautious Clay, Grammy-nominated producer Scott Harris (Shawn Mendes, The Chainsmokers, Kygo), and Mexican pop singer-songwriter Charlie Rodd.
